OUR FOUNDER


Jamaal Ali Richardson is the founder of Local Community Innovations, a youth organization dedicated to building stronger communities and empowering young people through the transformative power of sports.
A former collegiate and high school athlete, Jamaal shined as a multi-sport athlete at Passaic High School. He went on to play football at Norfolk State University, finishing his career as a multi-year letterman, and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Media and Journalism.
Upon graduating, Jamaal's passion for youth development has led him to serve as a dedicated coach and mentor to many, shaping the lives of countless young people in his community. A staunch advocate for youth, Jamaal's leadership and commitment to service are further evidenced by his membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
Through Local Community Innovations, Jammal strives to instill valuable life lessons, promote teamwork, and foster a sense of belonging among the youth he serves, while building and uplifting communities through sports.
